About Roast & Review

We built this because most feedback tools are either too polite to be useful or too expensive to use more than once.

Roast & Review is a collection of AI-powered critique tools. Paste a resume, website, LinkedIn profile, pitch deck, landing page, business idea, ecommerce store, or code snippet — and get honest, multi-persona feedback in about 15 seconds.

Each tool uses the same underlying engine: multiple AI personas reviewing your content from different angles. A savage roast calls out what's weak. A recruiter gives a blunt first-impression reaction. A customer decides whether they'd trust and buy. An SEO specialist flags discoverability problems. A designer critiques visual choices. Every persona is designed to surface real, specific, actionable observations — not generic advice you could find on any blog.

It's instant because you shouldn't have to wait days for a response. And it's anonymous because your content is your business — we don't store, share, or sell anything you paste into the tool.

Why we built it

Most feedback on resumes, websites, and pitches comes from people who are either too nice to be useful or too busy to be thorough. Friends say "looks great." Reviewers charge per document and take days. We wanted something in between: instant, specific, brutally honest, and free to try on every tool.

What makes a Roast & Review different

  • Multiple perspectives, one run. You get the savage roast, the recruiter's first impression, the customer's view, the SEO read, and the designer's take in a single analysis — not one opinion dressed up as a verdict.
  • Actionable output. Every roast returns a score and concrete fixes you can apply immediately, not a paragraph of compliments.
  • Free to try. One free roast per tool, per day, with no credit card and no signup. Premium removes the limits when you want deeper analysis.
  • Privacy by design. Your content is processed for the analysis and not stored, shared, or used to train models.

The 14 tools

We currently offer roasts for resumes, cover letters, websites, LinkedIn profiles, social media bios, ad copy, pitch decks, portfolios, landing pages, ecommerce stores, emails, job descriptions, business ideas, and code. The brand review library on our website roast also scores 140+ well-known sites so you can learn from what the big players do right and wrong.

Who it's for

Job seekers polishing a resume or LinkedIn profile before applying. Founders stress-testing a pitch deck or landing page before launch. Marketers and writers tightening ad copy and social bios. Developers cleaning up their code. Basically: anyone who wants a fast, honest second opinion before they put their work in front of a human who matters.

Our standards

We believe critique should be specific, respectful, and earned. The savage persona is harsh on the work, never on the person. Every observation is tied to a concrete reason and a fix. And when we write about products or tools on the blog, we test and disclose what we actually use.

The personas behind the roast

Depending on the document, the engine runs several reviewers at once. A savage roast persona flags anything weak, generic, or vague. A recruiter, investor, or hiring manager reacts the way the real decision-maker would. A customer decides whether they would trust and buy. An SEO specialist checks titles, structure, and discoverability. A designer critiques layout and visual hierarchy. A marketer checks positioning and persuasion. Every persona must be specific enough that anyone could act on it.

From roast to fix: what the output looks like

Every run returns the same shape: an overall score, a breakdown of how each persona read your content, and a list of fixes ordered by impact. You never have to dig for the point — the actionable part is the point. Export the full report as a PDF, DOC, or TXT file, or download a shareable card to keep alongside your revision notes.

How we keep our recommendations honest

The tools are free to try and the blog is free to read, and we are transparent about how we keep the lights on. Advertising zones are always labeled. When the blog recommends a product or service, we test or vet what we recommend, and affiliate or referral links are marked with rel="sponsored" so readers and search engines can tell them apart from editorial links.

When you might not need us

If you just need a grammar check or a proofread, a spelling checker is the faster tool. If you have a reviewer on your team who knows your market deeply, their feedback may beat what we can give. We exist for the moment in between: when you need a fast, specific, multi-perspective read, and your friends are too nice to be useful.

About the editor

Roast & Review is built and edited by Jean Brad. Every article on this blog is written and reviewed by a human before it is published: the tools generate the raw, multi-persona feedback, and an editorial pass turns it into a useful, honest guide — including what we recommend and why. If you want to know who is behind a specific guide, the byline on every article links back here.
